IFM was originally established in May 1995, primarily as a communication channel for Iscor works (now Arcelor Mittal Steel). However through the years we have developed and we are now a fully fledged Vaal Triangle radio station.
The vision of IFM Radio Station is to build and uplift our community within and around the Vaal Triangle; to create a loyal and growing audience that is inspired to help others in need; and to entertain our listeners by broadcasting the best local and international music.
Our station is the perfect platform to engage with and promote performers and artists. We strive to engage and keep the community informed by providing quality programming that broadcasts entertainment, music, news, traffic, job searches and event listings of the local communities IFM serves.
We subscribe to the BCCSA code of conduct.

IFM strives to contribute to a society in all forms of poverty and to engage in the communities development.
IFM is proud to have worked hand in hand with Lusa Community Chest for two successful projects that include the Winter Warm Project as well as Wish Upon a Star Project for several years.
Our wish to be a successful, vibrant and energetic tool for positive change, to leading by example as a sustainable community radio station.
